- 1/4C Butter
- 1/4C Flour
- 2 1/2C Turkey Drippings
- Chicken Stock
- Salt & Pepper
Melt Butter in a saucepan and add in flour to make a roux and let it get golden brown. Gradually whisk in drippings and supplement with chicken stock. Let it come to a boil then reduce heat and simmer until it thickens up. I like to have some chunks for turkey in it. Others like to put fresh herbs like Thyme, Rosemary, Parsley, but some of our kids don’t like green floaties in the gravy! Garlic wouldn’t be bad in this either, but season it as you like.
